The consortium of 16 participants from the Member States will develop the project – MAGNITUDE – within the Call “Competitive Low-Carbon Energy” and the theme “LCE-05-2017: Tools and technologies for coordination and integration of the European energy system”

Only two days ago we were aware of the favourable resolution by the European Commission evaluators, which granted the aid requested for the development of this project. Its main objective is to design and develop business and market mechanisms as well as coordination tools to allow a greater level of flexibility in the European electricity system, by optimizing synergies between the systems of electricity, gas and heat.

The diversity between the institutions and bodies involved in the project giveit it a marked international character (8 different countries) and multidisciplinary. The two Spanish companies involved in the project are located in the Region of Murcia – REGENERA LEVANTE and COMPANY MUNICIPAL OF WATERS AND SANEAMIENTO DE MURCIA – and present the role of industrial partners, focusing their collaboration on the integration and development of new business and market models and in the integration and evaluation of different energy production systems.

The project, which will be developed in 42 months, has a total budget of 3,999,057.50 euros.
